What makes this diet so darn happy? This is a diet that boosts your mood and improves performance and stamina. It does just as much for your soul as it does for your body.
This is a diet that is based on fruits and veggies and being able to eat as much of them as you want, in different forms. The more varied the veggies and fruits, the better!
I took the liberty of trying this diet out for you to give you the feels on what it’s like and how you can make it work for you. As with all diets, in my opinion, it shouldn’t feel like one.
Other than the fact that you’re making a lifestyle change, this doesn’t feel restrictive and it doesn’t feel like you’re on a diet because you can have as many fruits and veggies as you want, without restriction.
You can even have a moderate amount of “good fats” which are essential when dieting. This includes your nuts and guacamole, for example. You can have it and it will actually fuel your weight loss!
How It Works…
In order to get the most use out of this diet, you’re going to want to stock up on veggies, fruits, and the “good fats.” When shopping thinks of the Skittles commercial, Taste the Rainbow!
You’ll want to fill your cart with all the colors of the rainbow in terms of fruits and veggies so you activate the rainbow of all the essential vitamins and minerals your body needs.
You’ll also want to get a juicer or blender if you don’t already have one. This is so that you can stock up on fruits and veggies like crazy and make them into drinks or smoothies!
Be sure to buy some fats that you like. This can be coconuts oil, vegan butter with olive oil, nuts, avocado, or even flax seed.
Now that you have everything you need, let’s get started! I’m going to not only show you what I did but I’m going to make it interesting for you.
Let’s Get Started!
First of all, this diet works fast and you will begin to see results within a day or two. This also depends on how much weight you want to lose. If you’re doing this in addition to making a permanent lifestyle change then this will serve as a foundation for many years to come.
If you were only eating veggies and fruits, I’d recommend only doing this diet for two weeks but that’s not the case here. you are dieting in a healthy way. As with all diets, please be sure to see your doctor first, as I am not a physician.
Let’s talk about what you won’t be eating anymore without realizing it. You won’t be eating processed foods. This was the number one reason I decided to change course. I always feel better when I am eating healthier and can see a difference in my mood and appearance immediately.
Processed foods, even when vegan, should be something that you eliminate from your diet. It is of course, more realistic to clean your diet up and keep a healthy, natural balance. For example, giving yourself a “cheat day” or having the occasional splurge guilt-free!
You also won’t be eating refined sugars anymore, at least for the course of your diet. I am doing this for an entire year, maybe permanently.
In addition to that, you won’t be eating fast food, bread, pasta, and other carbohydrates, other than the carbs naturally found in fruits and veggies.
You are essentially cleaning your body, giving it a good scrub down from the inside/out! What you will be eating is a rainbow of colorful fruits and veggies galore and a few “healthy fats” that your body will turn to, to make the burn.
Putting it All Together
Now, let’s put it all together! I recommend raw eating, drinking, and cooking your veggies and creating a balance.
This means that you’ll be juicing part-time, cooking at least one meal with veggies per day, and snacking on fruits and veggies or utilizing a salad bowl. The choice is yours and you can just shake it up whenever you want so you don’t get bored.
I have a tendency to eat the same thing for an entire week and when I do that I get bored and that makes me want to reach out and break the diet. The fact that I’m also making this a permanent lifestyle change to take up residence in my life, helps me to stay on track.
Try something new every day or at the very least every few days. This will keep it fun and flexible, allowing you to see it through to the finish line.
Shake it up with a smoothie, a juice, a salad, or a cooked veggie meal. My favorite meal is the easiest meal to make in the entire world!
Spinach Mushroom and Onion Pepper Stir Fry
I simply cut up some mushrooms, onion, one small red potato, green pepper (or whatever color I’m feeling at the moment), and saute them at a semi-low heat with vegan butter (I use earth balance with olive oil) and add a sprinkle of pink Himalayan sea salt (a detoxer), basil, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
From there, after I’ve let the veggies become softer, I add in half a bag of spinach, put a cover on it, and let it wilt for about five minutes or so. When complete, I remove from heat and mix it all up and the seasoning makes my mouth water!

This diet will change your life! I mean that too. A lot of diets claim that they will but they won’t because they aren’t teaching you anything.
Here, you’ll learn how to not rely on refined sugars for everything. The fast-food joint will become a thing of the past, or at the very least, a place you visit on special occasions. You’ll learn how to cook better, how to juice, and how to mix n’ match foods to flavor your taste buds.
You’ll also lose weight, glorious weight. On top of being a major hottie who takes care of herself, you’ll look like you do too. The first thing to change will be your skin, hair, and nails, and that new & improved mood!
People will notice there’s a pep in your step and a sparkle in your eye. You’ll also reverse the signs of aging and sun damage. Everything you eat will disperse the antioxidants you need to attack the free radicals in your body, making you appear lighter and younger.
Tips and Warnings
- As with all diets, be sure to see your doctor first, in case there are external factors.
- The first three days are called “detox days” where you’ll want to be near a bathroom at all times. Sometimes detoxing can also cause the skin to get more oily at first so you may see a blemish or two pop up. Practice good skin care and know that this is temporary.
- Be prepared to try new recipes. You can search under terms like “raw vegan” or “vegan” or “juicing recipes.”
- Don’t forget to add the “healthy fats” in, as this is critical to making your body a calorie burning powerhouse!
- Don’t get on the scale too much. Check every few days or so. You don’t want to get obsessed with numbers, as the first weight you lose will be water weight.
- Speaking of water, drink only water and “juice recipes” and keep hydrated at all times.
- Smile! Because you are about to experience a “high” brought on by eating fruits and vegetables. It literally makes you feel like superwoman!
