Hi there! I’m Laurali Star and I’m the creator and founder of the Mermaid Detox Diet. In order for you to get to know me better, I thought I’d tell you a little about what it is I really do and what inspires me.
Believe it or not, I’m kind of a lazy cook. That doesn’t mean I’m not a good chef though. On the contrary, I figure there are more people like me than those food bloggers that make complicated recipes with tons of ingredients. I tend to go for simple and easy, yet still stylish and amazingly good!
I became a bonafide veggie eater back in 2012′ when I went on a long juice fast. One thing lead to the other and I became a vegetarian for a year then in 2013, I became a fully fledged vegan! Becoming a vegan has actually made me become a better cook. I went from someone too lazy to do anything other than eat frozen meals, to someone who likes to cook!
A couple years ago, I received an Easy Bake Oven as a birthday present and fell in love with it! It’s great for dehydrating foods, baking vegan treats, and for toasting things. Avocado toast anyone?
A lot of the meals that you’ll see here are either raw or made in my Easy Bake Oven and I will always tell you when I use it. It’s fun! I highly suggest an Easy Bake Oven for any household, whether you have kiddies or not. I’m kinda quirky and asked for one in passing because I wanted something to cook in besides a regular oven, and the Easy Bake Oven fits the bill perfectly. Try it! You’ll see 🙂
What kind of recipes do I make?
All of my recipes are mostly raw vegan. This means that I make some cooked recipes and some raw recipes. All of my recipes are vegan though!
